Things On My Mind

1. The San Francisco Giants

Alright, so for those of you who may or may not be keeping up with the best sport in the world (*cough*), the Giants are in the running to go to the World Series. They won the World Series in 2010 and 2012 which was such an amazing time. The funny part about it is that since 2010, either the San Francisco Giants or the St. Louis Cardinals have been in the final round. (The Cardinals lost to the Red Sox in 2013, but won in 2011.) So I guess if there's a pattern going on, it's the Giants' turn to win this shindig. They're actually competing with the Cardinals right now to decide who goes onto the World Series. The Cardinals tied it up last night, with both the Giants and the Cardinals holding one win under their belts. They need four wins to move ahead. Come on, Giants. You can do it.

(This picture actually happens to be from when the Giants won the National League championship over the Cardinals in 2012 to move onto the World Series. Maybe this a foreshadowing for this year???)

2. Hunter Pence signs

//Photo//

Alright, don't get me wrong -- I love Hunter Pence as much as any Giants fan -- but oh lawdy. I look forward to seeing these signs at every game. People are so witty and I find them hysterical. I'm glad Hunter Pence thinks they're funny, too.

I guess they started off when Hunter Pence made a Seinfield reference in New York? I really have no idea what the back story is, but it sure doesn't stop me from cracking up every time I see one!

And here are some of my favorite comments from the Peanut Gallery:

3. Baby Lips Crystal

The other day, I was at Walgreen's picking up some birthday presents for one of my friends. I had heard that Baby Lips was coming out with a new product, and I was curious to try it. I don't know about you, but once I take the first step towards spending money, it's 100 times easier for me to just "throw something in the cart" -- for lack of better words -- and try it out. Well, well, well. All I can say is that Baby Lips doesn't disappoint! Totally in love with mine. It's a.) super moisturizing and b.) an amazing color (like your lips -- but better!). The shimmer adds the perfect amount of umph to any makeup look.

4. J. Crew sale

HOLD UP, EVERYONE. There's a sale going on at J. Crew! Thank god I didn't have a lot of money in my checking account when I stumbled upon the sale otherwise I would have done some serious damage. Currently, it's 30% off full sale items and 40% off final sale items AND there's free shipping. Oh boy. I'm getting excited all over again just typing that out. I bought a few v-necks for $15 or so. They're amazing quality and look great with scarves in the fall.

What has been on your mind lately?

An Attempt at Organizing My Life

Do you ever see a mess of something completely disorganized and exclaim, "That's it!! I can't take it anymore!!!!" And then you spend the afternoon organizing said mess?

Well, that was me this past weekend and that mess was my makeup drawer in my bathroom.

*cringe*
Pretty bad, right?

Well, I went to the Dollar Tree and bought some wire baskets. Long story short, magic happened.

Now we're talkin'.
Not only does everything fit, but my makeup is sorted by function, too. I have lips in once basket, eyes in another, brushes in the long one and all my little compact cases in the square basket.

Hey, there's my Starbucks card!
Except then I realized that 1.) I have too much makeup and 2.) I needed something else to store it all in.

No tea included. :(
But then I remembered I had this gem! When I was in a dorm freshman year of college, I used this tin I picked up from Goodwill to put my makeup into. When I moved back home, it all sort of transferred back to my good ol' makeup drawer in my bathroom... However, today it came to the rescue!

So organize. Much clean.
My skin-related products now had a place to call home...

(You guys want to know something funny? Half of those foundations are the lightest shades the line offer; however, I'm so white that I can only wear them in the summer when I'm "tan." Actually, no. It's not funny. It's just depressing.)

After I put all my skin products away, I realized I had quite a few miscellaneous things that I really just didn't have a place for... Soo I put them in the only logical place left: the next drawer down.

Oh, well. I'll attempt that mess next weekend.
